About CAVCO
CAVCO (Community Association of Volunteer Coordinators) is a 501(c)3 non-profit professional organization of individuals who work in the field of volunteer administration for various agenices in northern Indiana and southern Michigan.
The organization has existed for over 30 years. It provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, resoruces, and networking. This networking allows the acquistion of skills needed to maintain high standards in the field of volunteer administration.
Purpose of CAVCO
Promote volunteer services as a vital component of available human resources in the community.
To provide an atmosphere for the development of peer relationships between member volunteer coordinators.
To address the needs and interests of the members concerning volunteer admnistration.
To provide education, guidance, and resources in the field of volunteer administration.
To recognize local volunteers through a combined effort as an organization.
To increase public awareness of volunteer opportunities and the positive effects of volunteering.
To increase the professionalism of volunteer administration.
